Agile Transformation: A step-by-step process to take your sequential design and delivery process to a team and short-iteration-based methodology to improve innovation and quality.

For seven years, I was the executive in charge of production for Disney Parks Digital. Like many other IT executives, I was confused and frustrated that our teams were not delivering.

I also wasn’t eager to rip our process out by the roots and perform an ‘Agile Transformation’ across over 300 people and 250 projects.

But we did, and it worked. The Agile process worked because we started with the teams first. We helped organize lightweight innovation and delivery processes that suited the company’s goals and the teams’ skills.

I provide three core services:

  • Training: I provide either a one-day or two day training in Scrum for all of your development teams. Based in your real-world delivery context, I hold a fun, interactive session where teams actually build and deliver.
  • Coaching: Depending on the number of teams you have, I can provide daily, one-on-one coaching to your leaders to ‘nip and tuck’ the process to best fit your company goals, team member skills, and personalities.
  • Scrum Mastering: When necessary, I am ready to jump in and manage large projects, from soup to nuts. I will help story map, unpack epics, define stories and acceptance criteria, and facilitate daily standups and grooming sessions. Your folks will see how it really works from me, first hand.

I believe people work better in teams. And, they innovate more when given time to breath. I integrate a ‘blue sky’ process into the sprint delivery process that is unique, people-oriented, customer and quality-focused, and, ultimately, fun.

I believe every company culture is different, so showing up with a detailed methodology will not work. I will work with you to understand the gaps and propose new techniques (from room setup to online PPM tools) that will help your teams innovate and deliver quality faster.
